Consumer Protection Bureau to open this week
This week the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) finally opens to help consumers. The primary purpose of the federal agency will be to prevent deceptive and abusive practices by lenders, financial institutions, and credit card companies. It is supposed to be the advocate or America's "beat cop" for citizens. Only time will tell how effective the agency can be against the powerful financial industry. Let's hope for the best!
It's time to protect your rights with an experienced attorney, not a paralegal.
