Unlawful pulling of your credit report
Many of you out there may have looked on your credit report in the section called, "Inquiries", and noticed a creditor that you never had any contact with. There are 2 sections of Inquiries, "soft" and "hard". Hard inquiries are the bad ones that can drop your score from 3-5 points every time a creditor pulls your credit. If you feel that a company has accessed your credit report without your permission or without any business purpose, you may be entitled to recover monetary damages. I would advise everybody to look at your credit report at least once every 6 months to look for such issues.
